The fire that was under the Triboro Bridge was on Jun 26, 1972 and cause the Triboro Bridge to shut down for the first time in its history. It was a warehouse fire. Marine 5 was unable to get near the fire to supply water and the Superpumper was a primary source of water for operating companies. It shut the bridge for about a day and caused structural damage.
