Most jobs on staten island get the TAC and also the satellite with the all hands so you can technically have 6 engines on the first alarm without going to a 2nd with the TAC firefighter running around also
Usually once an extra engine and truck are called the dispatcher will transmit the all hands
sometimes also once the report is given of a second line being stretched a dispatcher will drop the hint "wanna go with the all hands?"
these days the all hands only gives you the satellite on top of...
Not sure if Lavallette has the manpower to get out. Ocean Beach usually has enough staffing year round. Alot of guys from good North Jersey depts volunteer there.
Last week fire 84 was OOS for education day or medicals(2nd due)
Today first due engine was oos for medicals
I think it's time to revamp putting companies OOS for the entire 9x when most get through medicals in 2 hours.
Between that and the accident you now have 168 coming from rossville...
Looks like 164/84 got in first. 162/82 much closer but have to zig zag the whole way to get there. Oz gets right on the highway to Richmond Ave straight run no turns.
