BTRG was disbanded and it's units assigned to other local stations. Station 18 who shared quarters with them, are still located there.

No clue, I'd been hearing about the Chiefs for a few months. I first learned about the LSUs when the order was cut.

The ferry goes to the island once every 49 minutes, while the F train goes once every 7 minutes. Plus since the ferries can't have apparatus on them, I don't see any pros to them over the subway. That's not even mentioning how they're more subject to cancellation due to weather conditions.
