Reported elsewhere: Weston FD responded to a structure fire at 40 Weston Road,aka CT Route 57. Arriving units reported heavy fire in a large private dwelling. A tanker task force was requested as was mutual aid from Georgetown and Westport. Structure was said to be fully involved.

I was around for the 255 club. Remember the canteen unit they operated. E 248 had a 1958 Mack C 1000 GPM pumper. Went to E 244 for a while before returning to E 248.
In my years with E 248, we were always 2nd due at that box. Straight run down Flatbush Avenue from the old house; straight run down Nostrand Avenue from the new house. But times change as do assignments.
