When the Companies switch to the command channel is it because of the size of the fire or the number of alarms etc. I worked in a small city near Boston (Somerville Ma. we have about 90,000 people in 4 square miles) we always switch to channel 2 on struck boxes if every one remembers to go to...

Water pressure in Brooklyn from the hydrants seems to be very good does Brooklyn have the best water pressure out of the other sections of the city?

Fitchburg Fire had another 3rd the next day it is a very busy dept.

I think Lad 13, lad. 27, lad.30 to mention a few got disbanded when prop 2 and a half went into effect. I pretty sure the only city in the metro area that did not lose any companies was Cambridge.

I did not realize Lad 4 did that amount of runs , I know it was always close between lad4, lad26, lad15, a few years back. These companies are all excellent at what they do as most of the Engines and Trucks in Boston are. Thanks for the info. grumpy.

Thanks for those stats grumpy I think that would be Lad. 4 's busiest year. There was a man that use to record all of Boston stats but I think he pass on.
