Good pics , excellent positioning of the trucks while operating under the “El” and with a “El“ Pilar infront of the building. The Ariel to the roof and the bucket to a widow for VES. The results of both LCC working together and communicating and also understand how each of the others rig needs for proper placement.

I’ve said it before and I say it again ….not the “Truckless triangle “.…more like the engine heavy triangle. That‘s a very quick and short ride for both 112 & 124…..cant be more then 8 to 10 blocks for both trucks.

^^^^Also in one of the pictures above ...a Portable to the 2nd fl in spite of the awning or sidewalk dining structure....couldn't tell from the picture however the Butt may be placed on a side portion of the Rig to make the angle necessary when an awning or sidewalk dining shack is present as in the picture .....good move ...whatever it takes......Parking Meters used to be useful as a physical butt in many circumstances but in NYC they have been replaced with the Muni Meter & instead of having a Meter Post every car length now the Muni Meters are only a few to a whole block ... (Parking Meter poles at sidewalk level were also a good object to tie off a Search Rope at a Store Cellar or 1st fl Fire as this would lead you back to the curb rather than just the front door especially if the sidewalk was banked down with heavy smoke ).....if a Rig is in position for a Butt like at the curb on a Hydrant that is good for butting the Ladder in a side compartment or on the side running board / step or between the side suction or drafting hose depending on the angle to be achieved ....however in a true emergency consider using a vehicle parked at the curb ...a 4 door with a post or a Truck works perfect but you have to break the side windows..... I used to do a Drill using the BN Rig parked at the curb as a civilian vehicle would be ( however opening the windows first during the Drill)
