Sounds like L9 is 10-84 (L21 act. L9)

Report of smoke in lobby

B4: investigating odor of smoke on 2nd floor

B4: 2 L/S, 1 L/O

B4: fire around fireplace, checking for extension

D1: UC (duration 1 hr. 7 min.)

D1: s/c Engine(E65) for watch line

L2 act. L3
L21 act. L9
L102 act. L11

I wonder where TL-18 was? I worked in TL-18 from 1977 till my promotion in 1984, so I know the area. I believe that L-18 would normally y be 2nd due on the box. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired
relocators at that time of the morning for L3F, 9, 11 & 20 assigned on All Hands - so L18 was somewhere else

Question for the 28/11 15/18 guys.

When what streets are considered "Alphabet City" and not "East Village"

Just like when is it considered "Greenwich Village" and not "West Village"

Well Alphabet City to me is everything from A down to FDR Drive from 14th street to East Houston street. Old verbage I used to hear was
A your Alive, B your Brave, C your crazy, D your dead.
