New London FD operating at a working structure fire at 34 Squire Street. All NLFD companies responded plus Sub Base FD (FAST) and Groton Ambulance.

Second alarm transmitted: probably a ladder from Waterford and units from Groton.

Additional report: 4 lines stretched and operating, heavy fire in rear of a 2 1/2 story dwelling. One victim removed.

Corrected date should read 10/13/23

Fire came in at 12:25 pm and according to the New London Fire Chief, the fire was put under control in 20 minutes

I've seen a picture of what I believe to be the rear of this 2 1/2 story frame dwelling and seeing that picture it shows an amazing job done by those firefighters.

Besides New London Firefighters, mutual aid came from the EBFD (Electric Boat Fire Dept), Waterford, Groton, and U.S. Sub Base Fire Dept

I'm hoping that "RatPack2" will be able to post that picture for us.
