The collapse was caused by the failure of a single I-beam which created a V-Shaped collapse of a section of the 5th floor on to the 4th floor. The collapse also created a Lean-To collapse scenario on the 4th floor. Units installed initial pneumatic shoring with Paratech and Airshore struts. The building's engineer worked with WPFD command to determine where to install lumber shoring based on the effected structural components.

White Plains units handled suppression positions as well as working with Greenburgh's personnel.
