12:21  Confirmed collapse with construction workers trapped

R3 with Collapse Rescue and R4 assigned

12:25  Report of a wall collapsed at a building under construction.

12:26  Report of building collapse with  (20 occupants ????)  Additional ESU requested along with the previously requested FDNY Collapse Units

12:28  Worker removed.  B 18 returning all special units.  Buildings Department requested forthwith

Who requested additional ESU?
Structural collapse is FDNY single command. ESU not needed at all.

According to CIMS a structural collapse is FDNY single command.

FDNY  is not dispatched to single command incidents that NYPD has jurisdiction at.

When CIMS gave FDNY structural collapses the NYPD formed a Construction Accident Response Vehicle.
Maybe FDNY should make up a bank robbery task force or a hostage negotiation team.

Nothing personal against the NYPD but they get in the way at too many FD operations.
It is impossible to get the NYPD on the scene for an accident report but you will get 5 cars for a food on the stove.

Water and Ice Rescue, as one example, is an NYPD single command incident that generates an FD response. Have to learn to play nice in the sandbox.
