Thanks. L162/E304 is my local firehouse and Cunningham Park is so close. My mom is in the ICU and woke up briefly when I said the 'Border Patrol' won. I hope someone can post a photo of the team and trophy.

Yes the "Thomas Elsasser One Pitch" Softball Tournament is run annually usually on 10-4 by ENG*221 / LAD*104 "The Southside" .....it is held at Cunningham Park on the Ball Field on 73 Ave bet Francis Lewis Blvd & the Clearview Expressway....always a great day....FDNY FH Teams from all over NYC playing games from in the morning thru the early evening as FH Teams are eliminated until the Winner.....FDNY FF Tom Elsasser RIP was a FF originally in LAD*104 then later in LAD*126....he was an active sports enthusiast & athlete. ....The UFA controls the Fund which benefits NON Line Of Duty FDNY Widows & Children who really get very little compensation as opposed to a Line Of Duty death.....an extremely worthy Benefit Fund.
