10/8/21 Bronx 4th Alarm Box 2186

I see 92/44 and the 17 did not go?
Seems like relocators went ahead of normally assigned companies. Also my guess the 1-7 on another run

E-92 Normally 3rd Due on 3rd Alarm
E-44 Normally 1st Due on 4th Alarm
B-17 Normally 5th Chief In (Before the 3rd 18th 19th & 13th)

Car parked on the hydrant by the Fire bldg.

This is a huge problem in certain parts of the city. On the Ave. I live on there are 4 hydrants within 1 1/4 blocks, as the sun sets on our thriving metropolis drivers jockey for position to see who can get one of these coveted parking spaces for the night.

On 10/4/2021 at Bronx box 3544, check out THEMAJESTIRIUM1 video

at about 8:49 into the video you will see one of the hydrants 1/2 block from where I live

Seems like FDNY/NYPD should set up a separate group to start towing vehicles in mass that park like this. Charge a significant towing fee that could pay for the operation of the department and eventually people may get a hint that they can't do this! Either that or just putting outriggers down on top of cars that are parked like that!

I would hope each of those cars was issued a summons by one of the FD units on the scene.

I know years ago FD used to write parking tickets for blocked hydrants, do they still continue to do so?
