Yes he said that before the layoffs about running the Job with 7500 FFs & he got pissed at Members testifying before the City Council on the need for additional FFs for adaptive response instead of his hairbrained scheme .sending only two FFs to the Floor Above taking the place of an entire Ladder Company ...he told us during an intermission in the testimonies "you ghetto guys think you are hot shit....if i took you out of a tenement area you wouldn't know your ass from your elbow ".....he was fuming at us for showing up then further went on to say "i took so & so out of the Ghetto & made them FFs."...he was specifically talking about two well Respected / Seasoned Officers from two of the busiest War Yrs Units.
