[END OF REPORT]

My theory of a 1st alarm or 1st due unit being absent from a major job is once again evident. I just heard that normally 1st due TL163 was relocated to TL142 before this job came in. ;)

Any confirmed leak is an automatic 2nd alarm. Finally all thoses buckeye pipeline drills have been put to good use.

I don't know about TL163 relocating for sure. Seems to me they were at the Box operating. At the 11:18 mark of Catry's rundown, it shows L116 relieving TL163 at valve 58. Perhaps the 11:14 rundown is incomplete? Don't know...just throwin it out there.

The relieving thing does not mean they were operating; it's a transmission specifically heard only for the Buckeye Pipeline, where companies are assigned to specific valves to shut them down.  As I understand it (someone correct me if I'm wrong) L116 is relieving TL163 of shutdown duties since 163 is not available.

Thanks for helping out with that. I read the post to mean that Unit-XXX was relieving Unit-XXX, that was already there operating. I can certainly see where that could be confusing.

Why was TL163 relocated? Fire or something else?

While this job was active there was a radio transmission directing TL163 acting 142 to respond to a structure fire at box 2109 which is in the Ozone Park area of Queens, go figure... ::)

For those who have Griffiths Operational Reference, there is a two page expalination of Buckeye Pipeline Operations.  I have the 7th edition here, and its pp. 172-173.

I believe some units were special called later on.  I will try to have a more complete report later on tonight when I have time.

TL 163 was relocated to TL142 because 142 was at medicals.
some units were sent to another box for a gas leak right before this came over. that may explain why 128 and 325 werent assigned

Rundown has been updated.  rdm this occurred on a city street right next to the Sunnyside Yards.
