That was honestly one of the most fascinating videos I’ve seen. I never saw a dewatering operation by FDNY. The guy in the yellow suit (TSU 1 firefighter) looked like he had done it before. He definitely knew what needed to be done!

Two questions:
Between the 2 and 3 minute mark, they were using a sledge hammer on the sidewalk. Any idea what they were doing?

SC01 I think is SOC compressor. What is RL01?

There is a water shutoff about 4 feet down covered by a cast iron cover in the sidewalk. He was trying to crack the cover to access the valve.
These valves are usually old and not maintained so it only works sometimes.

Just a guess but maybe Rescue Operations Logistics? Only unit I could think of that would have an ID along the lines of RL01

Rescue Logistics was assigned but turned around, there was a report of undermining so they were sent. SOC Compressor FF assists TSU as they each are 1 man companies. Dewatering is an Officer and 1 FF.

The MSU they have a MSU BC that works per tour and then 1 on the MSU truck but I am sure there is atleast another 2 guys filling bottles and going around to firehouses
