Greenwich FD responded to a house fire on Field Point Road in the exclusive Belle Haven section of town. A huge three story house was fully involved upon arrival. Units from all six fire stations in town responded: Central (downtown), Cos Cob, Byram, Glenville, Sound Beach, and Northern Greenwich (North Street. There was minor damage to a nearby house when embers burned a hole through the roof. The original fire building was reported to be under construction or renovation and the family that owned it was renting another house nearby. Second large fire for Chief of Department Joe McHugh who recently left FDNY.
