Gee, I'm shocked! There was an automobile parked directly in front of the hydrant. I guess the Middle Village area has changed as years ago you wouldn't see that type of "who cares" behavior. I hope that a summons was judiciously placed upon the aforementioned vehicle and care was taken by the members to to scratch or dent the vehicle while exiting or reentering the rig.

Back in the days when l rode with 319 we were 1st due up to 62 Road on 69 Street. One famous box was at 62 & 69 where the Con Rail tracks were and many all hands brush fires occurred.
One block further was Eliot Ave & 69 St where we went from 1st to 3 rd due.
