Will Squads respond if they’re assigned usually as first due Engine or does SOC not let them do that either?

If they’re the first due engine they’ll respond as the first due engine

Internal SOC politics.......god forbid closest resources go ....been like this for 30-40 years.......same reasons Squads don't go on all reported pins ..Rescue captains have too much pull to keep their empires strong....

You really think it’s a good idea to have the squads chase unconfirmed pins. The squads have first due box’s along with EMS runs . If you or your family lIved in a a squads first due area would you want them unavailable to your house because they were chasing unconfirmed pins. 97 % of reported unconfirmed pins are “no pins“.
Squads are not Rescues …two different animals. Many may not want to hear it but they’re not.
