One adult male civilian is being medically evaluated at scene by LAFD Paramedics for smoke exposure. His condition and likelihood for hospital transport was not specified. https://bit.ly/3Ehoa0Q; North Hollywood; The explosion occurred in a subterranean electrical vault located in the apartment building's garden space at the front (west side between the street and building) and directly adjacent to the 32,150 square-foot, 37-unit, 3 story apartment building comprised of 2 floors of apartments over parking. The forceful blast, heard over a wide area, as well as concrete debris from the electrical vault's lid, caused visible damage to the eve line of the structure, and broke multiple apartment windows. There was no fire, and no injuries have been reported. The City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (ETA 9:00-9:30 AM) will perform a detailed inspection to determine if the building remains safe for occupancy.
