In the good old days the tiller man was out in the open. I remember my father wearing a wool cap To keep warm. I’m sure the new rigs have heaters. Enjoy the ride, you’ll going to miss it some day. I know I do.

^^^ One trick Tillering an open or semi enclosed unheated Tiller was to keep the top few six inches or so of a woman's silk stocking in your inside coat pocket....putting this on your head & down over your ears did not alter the fit wearing your Helmet & it kept your exposed ears warm...it was odd since the nylon stocking was so thin but it pressed your ears against your head & did keep them warm...it worked & took up no room in your inside pocket.

Did the stocking idea come from Joe Namath?
