Anyone was on this scene?
Hearing reports that a pregnant mom gave birth during the fire... anyone to confirm? Any age on the black tag?

ABC news reported 2 died, 2 critical, all between 5-14. God bless the families of those killed and the brothers that operated. Never a good thing, but tougher two days before Christmas.

EMS Supv. reported one of the victims was 8 yrs. old in cardiac arrest. FDNY members were assisting CPR in the ambulance enroute to the hospital.
Looks like Rescue 5 was the first truck on scene; about 5 blocks from their qtrs.

From the FDNY Facebook page:

New York City Fire Department (FDNY)

“At 1018, a call came in from a neighbor, reporting fire. A little over 3 minutes later, our first units arrived on scene. Upon arrival, there was heavy fire and reports of children trapped on the second floor. Members quickly went to work rescuing victims and delivering critical medical care,” said Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh. “Tragically, we lost two young children here today and two more are in critical condition at the hospital. There are eight total patients from this fire from the scene today. Seven are from the fire. Two deceased young children, two kids in critical condition. Two teenagers who have minor injuries and are stable. One firefighter with minor injuries is stable.”
“Firefighters were coming down the adjacent block and they could see smoke and flames coming from this private dwelling. They arrived and they immediately started an aggressive interior attack on the fire,” said FDNY Chief of Department John Hodgens. “The entire second floor was engulfed in flames. Once they started to move in the hose line, they quickly extinguished the fire. And we found the victims inside all unconscious and needing to be removed.”

Yes citizen video shows E160 arriving (with fire out the window) and R5 pulling up at the same time behind them, as if they’re the truck from quarters.
