Based on the list above, all the HP engines are either in Lower Manhattan or Western Brooklyn such that they're proximate to Lower Manhattan. Someone can correct me but I think a HP/3-stage pump would really only be required on very tall buildings, and the regular engine would be able to handle a regular hi-rise just fine, hence the unit locations
You are right the 3 stage High Pressure pumpers are for taller high-rise building, whereas I said for some reason the buildings own Standpipe pumps are unusable. Per NYC Codes, buildings are required to have pumps every 25 stories. Some NYC buildings have combination Standpipes and Sprinkler system where only certain areas are sprinkled. The FDC/Siamese connection in combination system are painted Yellow, &/or the caps are painted Yellow. After 20 years of FDNY fire duty in Midtown Manhattan you are familiar with this stuff. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 25 ret.

All fdny engines are currently high pressure pumpers technically. Most dont have the fittings or red hose for that operation. 3rd stage is a complete different story.

Pressure isn't usually the issue here. It's volume of water available. If you are relaying a long way you cant go over 250psi anyway with our 3 1/2 hose. But again every fdny rig can get well over 250psi

Here's the list of HP engines. Manhattan has E1, 4,6,7,9,10,22,23,24,26,34,39,40,54,65,67,76,93 Brooklyn has 205,207,210,221,226 Bronx had 66,79 Queens has 258,259,260,262,325.Staten Island doesn't have any
