Units Operating: Engines 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 24, 28, 29, 37, 42, 50 & 52; Ladders 3, 4, 7, 10, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 23, 24, 25 & 29; Rescue 1; Districts H1, 1, 3, 4, 6 & 7; Deputy C6; Chief of Emergency Management G1; Chief of Department C2; Fire Commissioner C1; H2, W12, W25 & MCP.
Description Of Incident: 5 story brick condominium with penthouse, 60'x50', 19 units, former Eaton Hotel. Fire originated kitchen floor 1 in the rear, extended via stairwell and elevator shaft to all floors in rear, heavy fire through roof, partial collapse of roof, extended operation, members removed due to fears of collapse. Details to continue throughout night. Currently operating with a detail of 3 Engines, 2 Trucks, 3 Tower Ladders, 1 District Chief & Lighting Plant. A 47yr old M taken out in cardiac arrest, later pronounced dead.
