0637 - Div. 15 - MBFKD. Primaries are negative on the floor above. Primaries are in progress in the fire apartment.

0639 - Div. 15 - Primaries are negative throughout. EMS is evaluating the 10-45. PWH - Duration 18 minutes.

0648 - Div. 15 - Secondaries are complete and negative. The 10-45 is code 3. Under Control - Duration 27 minutes.

I wonder if this “old” transmission, “Drop the Box” will start be used like the use of “ dropping down to a 10-18” by some?
Still would like to know how many units were being used prior to “dropping down”?

Theoretically impossible to have used 1&2 or 2&1 or 2&2 etc & then give... "dropping down to an 18" rather than "dropping down to 1&1 or going down to 1&1"..... aside from that RARELY should a 10-18 even be used in todays climate of reduced Staffing.....use the proper amount of units & give them credit for their work.

10-18 is a specific signal, no need to say”dropping down”.

3-2 and 2-2 responses should always be followed by using 1 and 2 or 2 and 1. New chiefs are quick to make everything an 18

Jack, I even heard a company officer give a 10-18 for a 10-92.
