Visey Paper - 4435 Victory Blvd

SI phone alarm Box 8132, Visey Paper, 4435 Victory Blvd for a man stuck in a machine

BC22 confirming Visey Paper staff member stuck under a 3,000 pound roll of recycled paper. Power to the machine is off. Setting up for high angle rescue

SI to BC22: SQ1 on the frequency because SQ8 is your first engine

Div. 8 to SI: the man is conscious and breathing

Div. 8 to SI: the man is removed from the machine and is in care of Rescue Medics. Return anyone not 10-84.

Probably:
SQ8, E166

I was always wondering at any technical rescue or hazmat run when the Squad is on the first alarm and responds as an engine, what exactly are the engine duties at a rescue run?

Isn't it most important for the closest SOC company to utilize their SOC duties? you always have other engine companies around to perform engine duties if needed

If I had to guess I’d say engine duties at a run like this are CFRD as best they can. Regarding your question about SQ being first due engine, I’d also guess as long as the incident is in their first due area and they’re available to respond, they’ll be responding as first due engine. Maybe someone else with more knowledge can answer. In this case, SQ8 is very familiar with the complex and building.
