Original report of gas odor in the basement of a home.

L 143 assigned as second truck

14:51  B 28 reports there is a strong odor of gas in the neighborhood and requests a HazMat response.  HazMat 1, HazMat Batallion assigned

BC46 was alao sent to a nearby location - their units included E286 with TL124 as the second truck

BC28 reports they were flushing out the sewers and thinks the problem may be associated with a gas station at Myrtle and Cooper

Yes B 46 operating at 5098.  Now waitung for Con Ed.

B 46 just got another call to investigate a gas odor in the basement of 69-11 Myrtle Avenue.

B 28 just got a call to investigate  72-15 Indiana for odor of gas.

I spoke to the chauffer.  He said the odor was there and then went away. Seems like it was one of those things that happened a month or so ago when a gas odor smell went from Forest Hills/ Rego Park and traveled west to lower
Glendale.
