Fire 4th floor of a 6 story 100x100 OMD, 10-70 transmitted, FAST activated, mayday transmitted. Reports of people trapped.

Update: Mayday has been removed from fire apartment

Fire 4th, 5th, 6th floors & cockloft.

FC Prog Report 2002hrs: All members removed from roof, 1 TL in operation from Exp 3, 1 TL in operation from Exp 1 side - all interior companies withdrawn to floor below.

Embers flying through the air from the original fire building and landing on other structures possibly causing them to burn.

5th Alarm, Chief of Ops Sweeney, rpts 3 TL's setup i/f/o fire building, 2 TL's on exp #3, all members out. Heavy fire on 4,5,6th floors, prolonged operation. Duration of box 2hrs 40mins

@2312: Field Comm: special call additional division chief and three additional battalion chiefs.  Division 1, Batt. 4, Batt. 31 acting 41, and Batt. 49 s/c.

@2318: Field Comm: special call three engines and three tower ladders: two ladders to be 100 ft. : Engines 330,248 and 220 s/c along with Tower Ladders 107, 161 acting Ladder 157, and 15 acting 131.  Engines 330 and 220 and Tower Ladders 107 and 161 acting 157 to respond to Exposure #3 side of fire building.  Engine 248 and Ladder 15 acting 131 to command post.

@2331: Field Comm. Chief Kilduff reports Safety Batt. and Rescue Batt. entering building to ascertain whether interior operations may commence, fire is still probably will hold.

Engine 224 relocated to Engine 248.  Ladder79 relocated to Ladder157.

i hope every member that is hurt goes to the hospital and then what will the city do? there are gonna be no ov's in bklyn or there will be 10 or more firehouses closed for the rest of the night tour.  disaster waiting to happen. what is mayor bloomberg thinking with these cuts!
