By changing the box# from 9598 to 9588 changes the 1st Alarm.
E 319 is 1st due on the original box that was transmitted. For 319 its a straight run down Metropolitan to 70 Ave and make a right into fire block. After change of address 319 would contuine to Walnut St and make a left to fire bldg.

* The horse stables and NYCDOT are located across also. *

Sisto was a firefighter in E 319 and got promoted to Lt. After bouncing he was assigned to E 252. Here's a funny one for you, one night we got relocated to 252. There was a guy in a white t shirt sitting in the kitchen. When we sat down we saw there running board which had approx 50 boxes on it. Bob made a comment about that and the guy in the white t shirt said
THEY (252) DO THOUSANDS OF RUNS WITH THOSE FEW BOXES. I SHOULD NO I'M A DEPUTY CHIEF HERE IN DIV 17.
After Bob was assigned there his first tour was with that same deputy chief...lol

I just moved to Florida a week ago today.
I'm 20 miles from Jacksonville. Do you talk to him at all. If you do talk to him please mention Lt. Fred Knipper, FF Larry Fullam and me the kid that buffed there. My name is Doug the buff. It was a long time ago maybe he will remember me. I definitely remember Bob

PLEASE DO. I hung out at 319 from 1959 to
2019. It was a great 60 years seeing many many guys walk in and out of the front door.
When you talk to Bob please let me no what year that was. I think it was late 60s but l really don't remember years. I no that in 1972 l was turned 18 and was legally allowed to ride on the rig as a Auxiliary but l remember riding the house bed of the old 1951 Ward LaFrance when l was around 14 years old.

Wow! That must have been fun! He retired from 252 in 1978, shortly after being hurt in a 3 alarm fire. I was listening to the fire, but didn't know he was on duty at the time, or what company the reported injured member was from.
