B6 gave 10-75

Looks like L3 got in 1st

L11 (normal 1st due - at Box 297) became available, assigned as 3rd Truck on Box - (E28 MIA?)
L18 (normal 2nd due - at Box 297) became available after 10-75, assigned as add'l Truck
B4 (normal 1st due - at Box 297) became available after 10-75 & replaced B2

Extra E/T (E55 & L18)

Maybe L20 on 2nd - 5 Trucks on Box before 2nd was given

Question for the class

B-4 replaced B-2 as the All Hands Chief

B-2 asked them if they were needed on the 2nd. Manhattan said remain in service

Why assign a Brooklyn BC rather than one in the area/closer?

Normal BC assignment I believe is
4-6-2-7-1-8-9-31

B-31 15 Mins 3.1 Miles
B-2 7 Mins (11 cuz of road work) 1.7 Miles

Even the 35 is closer but doesn't get assigned for a while

Is this so the borough from West 48th & East 51st South to Battery Park wasn't left with out a BC?

Can’t even imagine the frustration of being boxed in at 297… Baruch Drive where the only access out is all the way down to Delancey ( or backing out to East Houston, good luck!) and hearing 450 come in. Actually I can imagine it..lol. Hated it.

Only explanation I could think of is that the other closer chiefs were possibly A.B.C. and not qualified to be designated as the "Safety Officer"

B-2 Would be Assigned FF
B-7 Would be Assigned RUL
B-1 Would be Assigned Safety

None were ABCs

18 T probably on another elevator missing a well earned floor above tenement job. That’s gotta suck

At least they got assigned eventually. Hope they did something interesting at least
