Out of curiosity:

1. West Farms Section?

2. What is the normal response

Seen many different run downs

45-46-88-90
45-88-90-46

Sometimes 82 in the mix

Box looks literally in middle of all houses after 45/58. 46, 82, 90 all look equidistant hence me not guessing the rundown lol. I also believe it is West Farms section.

I was going off your post for a job on the same block but different box (3101) from last year (8/18)
I would have thought something like
45 - 46 - 82 - 90 (with 88 the furthest away), but it's close all around, not many turns for all units
46 - 1.1
82 - 1.1
90 - 1.1
88 - 1.4

Yes, West Farms

There's a couple of Vyse Guys on this site, maybe they can share the info

I remember back in the 80's and 90's there where a bunch of jobs, some multiples, just East of that area on Wyatt and Devoe and Tremont Ave. I remember back then it was E45 90 88 L58 41 38 after that 96/54 would come up 82/31 and 46/27 after that. I remember there was a hotel on Boston Road just south of Tremont under the El and after midnight we had a job and again it was E45 90 88 L58 41 38 but this time 82/31 then 46/27 then 96/54.

The pre-BARB Fire Alarm Assignment and Reference Guide lists the physical alarm Box as the intersection of Boston road and 176th street. 1st alarm assignment as follows:

45 88 46
58 38 27
BN 18

This address of 1880 Boston Rd plots a couple of blocks NE, so I guess it depends on how the computers assign the companies,, by the traditional box location or actual address. Could make a difference in this case.

Let me clarify. Boston road does not enter the Zoo. There is an entrance gate at Bronx Park South (down the block from the former Bronx Comm Office). The roadway actually becomes Jungle World Rd within the Zoo until that ends at a fence at the northeast boundary of the Zoo. It then continues on as Boston Rd on the other side of the BRP, all the way to Beantown, one presumes.

l knew of the Boston Road from visiting the zoo and checked the map just now and see it going through as Jungle World Road.
