Box 3225 transmitted for smoke on the second floor at 2920 Avenue P, near Nostrand Avenue.

Second source reporting fire in the basement at 2970 Avenue P in a fruit and grocery store.

10-75-3225 by Engine 321 for fire in the basement.

@1432: 75-3225: Batt. 33 reports using all hands, requests extra engine and truck.  Engine 323 and Ladder 157 s/c.  RAC 5 assigned.

@1433: 22-3225: Batt.33 transmits second alarm.

Engines 255, 330, 250  Ladder 172, Batt 43- Safety, Batt 42-RUL, Engine 284/Sat. 3, Safety Batt, Rescue Batt, Field Comm., TAC 2.

Batt. 33 reports fire in a 3 story 60 x 100 OMD with store on first floor, three lines stretched and operating.

@1439: Batt. 33: trucks opening up, searches in progress.

@1440: Command Tactical Unit responding to 22-3225.

@1443: Div. 15: Deputy Chief Cartwright reports main body of fire knocked down, three lines in operation, primary searches negative throughout, fire is probably will hold, return Batt. 42 and Field Comm.  Exposures: 1- street, 2- street, 3- yard, 4- one story taxpayer.

@1444: Engine 201 relocating to Engine 309.  Safety Batt. and Command Tactical Unit are 10-8.

@1451: Ladder 120 acting Ladder 159 is 10-8; Engine 240 acting Engine 250 is 10-8.

@1458: Div. 15: DC Cartwight reports secondary searches of floors 2 and 3 are negative, notify Dept of Health, fire on the first floor in a deli at 2970 Nostrand Avenue.

@1459: Engine 290 acting Engine 321 is 10-8.

@1507: Div. 15: DC Cartwright reports fire under control, secondary searches negative throughout with the exception of the store on the first floor, this will be delayed due to the amount of stock in the store.  Have Building Dept. respond due to question of stability of the building.
