Heard Squad 1 get assigned. Squad 252 in Manhattan.

BKLYN Dispatch Intercepted 252 before they got on da' Bridge, Assigned em' to the Box.

Sqd.1 went 10-8  ;)

Same thing happened earlier when SQ 270 was on there way to the 10-60 and was turned around to respond to the All Hands...

it seems like a lot of members on this site are more concerned about what soc companies are assigned to the boxes yet no one ever comments on  the 1st due engine and truck.  the 1st due engine co. and the 1st due truck co. set the tone on how well the job goes regardless of what squad or rescue is assigned.

That would be box 691 at DeKalb and Sumner. (pardon me, DeKalb and Marcus Garvey)

so tell us about the 1st due engine and truck then Tem. Only info I had is what I posted, wasn't at the job just listening so i could only post what i heard. I've seen plenty of posts where members comment on the 1st due companies and great job knocking it down, so don't say never.

wasn't meant to be personal..just saying that ive noticed quit a few posts that focus on soc companies.

but now read throught the prior posts 252 and 270 while responding to the east harlem 10-60 at different times both squads were taken off the east harlem 10-60 and redirected to respond to a fire in their response area ( and they are probably going to get into that fire delayed anyway) now there will also be a delay in a squad responding into the manhattan 10-60 to take their place.  this doesn't make any sense to me what so ever.
the training the soc units receive are valuable in situations like the east harlem 10-60 and should be their PRIORITY not chasing fires that can be handled by the units assigned.
in this situation at box 784..252 should have continued to the 10-60 and sq1 kept on the box.
