Jack was killed yesterday, apparently by his youngest son, Chris Miller.
There are numerous news stories online providing more details about this tragic event.

Jack probably served more years as Chief of Dept in Wyandanch than any other member in their 100-year history. His son, Chris, was also a member of Wyandanch and their band, since HS and himself an ex-chief of the department.

It is a sad day for the Miller family, thoughts are prayers for them all.
