Report of dryer fire in basement

Maybe,
S288, E291, 287
L140, 136
B46

B46: using 2 Engines & 2 Trucks for fire on 2nd floor KD with can - (1) precautionary line stretched

B46 gave All Hands/UC, no special units required
Address: 53-69 63rd Street

QNS to BC46: SQ288 became available replacing E325, you have 3&2 with Rescue normally assigned

287 / 136. Lost all these lower Maspeth boxes when they moved into there
" NEW FIREHOUSE " on 57 Ave & 90 St... LOL

Also l would think that E 291 picked up all of 287s 3rd due boxes located around 319s quarters. 319 will pick up 287s 3rd due boxes on the Middle Village / Maspeth border ( Eliot Ave & 69 St towards the LIE )
325 should pick up boxes in the area of 68 St & Queens Blvd. 289 should lose some
1St due boxes along with 324 losing some.
With the BARB system moving approx 7 blocks would change the response area of
287 & 136.... We shall see as it goes along. Lol

None of the alarm assignments changed. 287/136 we're on a highway box. Disp took 136 off for the fire

292 should be on the ticket, probably second due …Especially as it’s a first due box for R-4.

Aren't all boxes for Rescues first due, unless assigned as an additional Rescue?

If the Rescue is closer then the nearest ladder company then the Rescue is assigned and act as first due truck till the arrival of the nearest Ladder company….thats for phone alarm for a structure fire only. All the Rescues have “first due fire boxes.“.

So why, at least in Brooklyn, do the first due ladder companies still operate as first due even when the rescue company is already on the scene and operating?
