From the FDNY Facebook page (FDNY Photos):

“We arrived at 10:15. Fire department units encountered heavy fire at this address. We quickly stretched hand lines, made searches, ventilated. The heavy fire condition, as you can see, the awning is all burned away. We gained entry. The warehouse is stacked from floor to ceiling with portable air conditioning units. So, we continue to put pockets of fire out. At this time, the fire is doubtful. At this time. We have approximately 30 plus units on the scene, 150 fire and EMS personnel. We are at a third alarm, five minor injuries to Firefighters, one to civilian, and it's going to be an extended operation due to amount of stock that, as you can see in this warehouse, roughly 20 by 80 feet deep. So, we'll be operating here for quite some time. Most commercial structures such as this that we're looking at these one-story structures, that commercial, they usually have a lot of stock and with a lot of stock come narrow aisle space. So, when the units encountered a heavy fire on arrival, you have to put the fire out and start advancing. And as you know, it becomes more difficult with commercial type structures,” said FDNY Deputy Assistant Chief Chuck Downey, from the scene of today’s 3-alarm fire at 34-38 31st Street in Queens. “We have six total injuries. One to a civilian and five Firefighters, all minor. We have approximately 50 EMS members from surrounding stations here to take care of anybody that needed assistance,” said FDNY Assistant Chief Paul Miano."

After the 10-75 was transmitted, L163 assigned as extra Truck - normally 3rd due, but extra Truck today (don't know where they were when initial alarm went out?)

They relocated (as well as Bronx Units) to Queens fire houses due to other fires in the Borough.
