0500 - Bn. 45 - Using 2x2 for a fire in Apt. 18G. 1 L/S. Fire knocked down by the sprinkler.

0509 - Bn. 45 - All Hands - Under Control - Searches are complete and negative. 1 L/S, not in operation.

Ok....a blast from the past. When Roosevelt Island was Welfare Island....and we went to proby school there...it's box was 920. Manhattan box. Obviously, the only access was from the bridge on 36th Avenue. At various times your battalion was up for evaluation...the battalions were published on the Department Orders a few weeks in advance. At 0900 during that stretch, they'd tap out the bells for special call to box 920. If your number was up we'd hear.....7-920-11. Mighta been city wide in which case it would have been 7-66-920-11. In any event, you were off to see the dreaded Captain M as he put you through evolutions. Hope my memory is serving me correctly. If not, someone can correct me. Stay safe.

i don't think so , as they have no real suppression units
