I agree.
And this is just how life goes on, old dispatchers would've never done that. Someone unfamiliar may look at map/GOOGLE MAPS and think it's close but it is 3 blocks south, then walk west, then walk 3-4 blocks up north to fire building uphill. Not good at all.
The dispatchers used to say "the suggested staging area is..." but now I only hear them say "the staging area is..." That being said, even a BC coming in on the 3rd alarm may not be familiar with that area, seeing he is coming from far away.
Personally, I think it should be back on the DC to set that up.
