The bldg for many years was Krause Paint Store then when it closed it became a Martial Arts place & most recently was the Bell Club.... for kettle bells & other weight lifting / exercise regimens.

White Castle - I remember the young lady attendants with roller skates taking your order and attaching the tray to your window. I also remember my uncle buying belly bombers in the mid 50’s when they were a nickel.

I too remember the Krause Paint store as well. A few blocks further up was Buzz and Mac’s a local watering hole where my bachelor party was held.

Eugene, would you happen to recall a very small diner that was tucked in on Bell right by the LIRR entrance? Could have been no more than six stools. I t was on the east side of Bell on the south side of the tracks. 1968-69 when I worked on the Long Island Jewish Hospital ambulance we stopped there a few times for coffee, etc. Nobody seems to remember but I know it was there. Ring a bell?
