Fire on the 2nd floor of a 3 story 20x60 peaked roof PD.

1807 - E-249 - We were on the way to training and are getting waved in to this fire.

1808 - L-113 - "Urgent"  -10-75 this box. Fire on the 2nd floor of a 3 story PD.

TL-157 FAST - E-249 4th Engine

1812 - Bn. 41 - All Hands - Heavy fire on the 2nd floor. Extra Engine and Truck.

1812 - Bn. 41 - 2nd Alarm

1821 - Div. 15 - We have (1) 10-45 no code.

1825 - Div. 15 - We have heavy fire on the 2nd floor and attic. 3 L/S/O, we are pulling everyone from the building and are going to hit it with TL-157's bucket. Searches will be delayed. DWH

1836 - FC - We are setting up exterior operations. Give me another Ladder (L-123).

1839 - FC - We have an additional 10-45 no code. MBFKD by the Tower Ladder. DWH

1851 - FC - Primaries are negative except the 10-45 code 1. Transmit a 10-41 code 1, due to a large volume of fire upon arrival.

1903 - FC - MBFKD, Tower Ladder has been shut down. Units have reentered the building with the Safety Battalion to extinguish pockets of fire. Please assign 2 additional Trucks (L-122, TL-105). PWH - Duration 56 minutes.

1906 - FC - Can I get 2 additional Engines for relief (E-219, E-283).

1933 - FC - Can I get a Truck to relieve the FAST Truck (L-148).

1940 - FC - This will be an extended operation. Under Control - Special call an Engine, Truck, and Battalion for relief (E-233, L-156, Bn. 40)

Helluva lot of special calls on both 2nd alarms this evening, with all of the jobs and accompanying relocates, BK dispatchers had their work cut out for them.

According to my records, between 4/1 and 4/19, E 248 operated at 5 All Hands, 3 Second Alarms, and 1 4th alarm.  In additiion, they missed two all hands fires they would have been assigned to if available.  Just sayin'.

249 operated as the 1st due engine.  3 members from various companies spent the nite at the Cornell Burn Center.

The 10-45 was about 400 lbs & was in the front room on the 2nd floor....The CPT of LAD*113 came out the window onto the front porch roof w/part of his coat on Fire.

  How many other careers involve this kind of work. Sometimes people forget.
