Some additional Info:

1. E62 was operating on a 10-14
2. E97 and L37 were assigned briefly and then told to go 10-8
3. E 90 was operating at Box 3671 for an ERS alarm

Relocations:
TL54/TL51
L56/T39
E60/?

Look at the entire response, 1 & 2 alarms, it looks like 40% of the Bronx was wide open as companies responded. Eng 52 was the only engine in quarters north of Fordham Rd & Pelham Pkwy.  Add Sq 61 & Eng 90's response area too into the picture. What a nightmare for dispatchers.

Has FDNY ever requested Mt. Vernon to send an engine to a job way up there?

There was a few times that FDNY & Mt. Vernon worked the same fire for a building on the border line.

There was a fire on the border line that Mt. Vernon was using All-Hands, FDNY had a second alarm, & Yonker had close to a second alarm response all for the same fire. The location is Baldwin St. & Bradley St. You need to go into Westchester Co to get to that Bronx location.

Mt. Vernon FD has also been down sides over the years. They only have 4 stations & running with (I Think) 5 engines, 2 Ladders, & a rescue.

However, MT. Vernon FD was requested to respond to a Brooklyn Fire many years ago. FDNY did not have any foam units at the time & because of 'Oil City' located on the Bronx, Pelham, Mt. Vernon border line, Mt. Vernon had a foam rig. Well Mt. Vernon responded under NYPD escort. The Sgt. on duty at the Tri-Boro Bridge would not permit the fire truck to use the span without paying the toll.

This is a true story!!!!!

That is an absolute correct story.  I was the dispatcher on duty at Westchester County Fire Control that night who dispatched MVFD Foam 1.
