Thats a tight block.
When I was at TL-131 many of us felt L101 should have received a Tower and keep 131 a Tiller.
Responses from Hicks St (BQE) to Bond St ( Gowanus canal) any response on a cross street can be a daunting effort. I remember many times we were delayed due to trying to make ‘the turn’,

I drove a large VZ van through Carroll Gardens for years and it was a tight fit sometimes. I can't imagine trying it with a TL. Btw years ago probably early to mid 2000's I did an install at E279/L131. I was there for a half day and the guys made me lunch. They insisted I stayed to eat and were a great bunch of guys. I worked The Hook all the time and would stop by every now and then. I wish I could remember some names.

didn't 131 at one point have a 95 footer which would have made the turn worse then with a 75 footer
I wasn’t there for the 95 TL years but you’re correct.
Not to belabor the point but I remember the Tower Ladder was a new toy to the company. The young guys liked it but to the old Chauffeurs it was a truck to be hated! Took a while to learn how to use/handle it, some never did.
