MEMORIAL MASS
On Thursday, April 24th, 2025, at 1100 hours, E-257/L-170/B-58 will host a Memorial Mass commemorating the 3rd anniversary of Firefighter Timothy Klein, L-170, who made the supreme sacrifice April 24, 2022. The mass will be held at Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 129-16 Rockaway Beach Blvd, Belle Harbor, NY. All off- duty members and their families are invited to attend. Members are requested to attend in dress uniform.

I reluctantly travel the Belt Pkwy but sometimes I have to when I travel out of state, I no longer take the Williamsburg Bridge and Holland Tunnel, and my son lives in Mill Basin. Last week I was on it at about 11 AM and they were repairing the guard rail at Pennsylvania Ave. with 2 lanes blocked off. The east bound traffic was backed up past Flatbush Ave. and further but I got off at Flatbush Ave. so didn't see where the back up started.
I try to look at where Timmy's accident occurred and it looks like the barriers are closer together to prevent an accident like that to happen again.

i think you are referring to Fr. Steven Pollard also from L170 who died while operating on the belt pkwy.
