I noticed that there was CIDS info on this building. Just a guess, but maybe a two or three family private dwelling. Is the FDNY doing CIDS on these type of buildings also ?  It is certainly a great idea if true, but sure a lot of work for some companies with a huge private dwelling response area.

I believe the fellas can put in a CIDS card for computer entry on any type building that they feel presents a hazard.

Thanks Deano, I only thought it was special buildings. That sure can come in handy. But I think that's the FIRST TIME, I ever saw a CIDS on a 2 1/2 frame. It sure makes sense to me.

It makes more sense after reading the only access to the basement is from exposure 3. That could be a big problem if the members didn't know that. Great job on the BISP!

Sometimes you'll get a CIDS for a P/D for not just structural hazards. Some others will be for the people that live there, that are incapacitated (cannot evacuate themselves) or maybe there is home oxygen cylinders (kaboom) etc.
