1910 hrs Second Alarm for box 37 for an incoming plane w/a problem ....all Units to report to staging....1915 QNS advising BN*49 that the plane may have landed..... 1918 BN*49 confirming that the plane has landed safely....making it a 10-31.....  (just curious did anyone actually hear the Second Alarm being broadcast over QNS radio ?).

Queens never did broadcast the 2nd Alarm.

Is it an automatic 2nd for any plane with an issue?
If the control tower deems a possible or confirmed emergency involving a plane they transmit the Second..... Box 37 is for LAG & 269 for JFK.
