6/2/2023 Marine fire box 8204 Governors Island

They stage at 10 South Street the Battery Maritime Pier. Awaiting confirmation on the response. Pretty sure the Chief will hold a Ferry there until all is clear.

How do they handle this? They all head to the ferry terminal at South Ferry and they hold the boat for all to arrive?
For calls on Gov Island when E525 is not manned,

M6 goes straight to the Island to investigate
If the Ferry is not available M1 will transport members over. If ferry available E4 TL15 TL1 and depending on who else will put rigs on to the ferry depending on the call and what’s needed.

Is the island occupied 24/7 or at least daily? Seems like an accident waiting to happen either medically or fire wise with no real protection.

Where is 525 now?
It was at E 329 last time l was there.
Reg # SP 03001 was 319s assigned rig.
GI has a few reserve units already on the island. I think 525 is 1 of them.
Eta. Found a few older pictures on firewires fb page. I can see 2 engines and 2 rearmounts on the island at the station. L709 and 710, E519 and the donated ALF. The ALF may have been replaced with 525. Or could be a 3rd engine. I remember seeing somewhere what units are already on the island with the basic plans but I forget where I've seen it. The last pictures I can find of 525 look like they were taken at 329s house, and was ex eng 33. An 88 Mack/Ward
