Many, (Many), Years Ago I worked as a NYC Transit Subway Conductor, Including
the 'L' Train: at that time of night on a Sunday, I imagine Transit would be operating either
4 or 6 Car Trains on the 'L'. Ridership would be quite Light, Maybe 30 or 40 Passengers.
Pulling out of Rockaway Pkwy. Station (Terminal), Manhattan-bound Train crosses over Switch to
Main N. Bound Track at about 10 - 15 mph.
All Things considered, this was going to be a relatively 'Light' Accident.
Now, at 6 AM on Monday Morning - things would've been far more serious.
Just about an Hour prior; a Teen was Stabbed in a Robbery 1 Station North of the Rockaway Pkwy. Terminal.
