Brothers and sisters PLEASE check the condition of any lifesaving ropes and ensure the ropes are properly stored and protected on your apparatus. Alway use anti chaffing devices or even a turnout coat to protect lifesaving ropes going over any edge that is sharp or abrasive. Both Larry "Fitz" and Gerry Frisby were lost when the lifesaving rope failed as Larry, Rescue 3 tried to rescue Gerry TL-23 in Harlem.
