Tremont. Crotona is further east and south. Some maps say East Tremont But that used to be considered out near throggs's neck.

In my day (born and raised in the Bronx) East Tremont was considrred to be out on Tremont Ave by St Raymond's Cemetery and beyond.

Used to go to the Fin' McCool niteclub in my college days, owned by (the late) Mike Boland, himself from across the pond, tiller man on H&L 43, East Harlem, late 60's.

In the same house was Michael J Prendergast (E91-2) from County Waterford, owner of the Jolly Tinker on Webster Ave. (Still kickin' in Yonkers.)

Never a dry tongue in that firehouse in those "War Year" days.
