Fire in the basement of a 8 story 715x250 school (City College of New York).
1042 - MD - Class 3 Alarm
1045 - E-80 - Box 1593, 10-75.
L-26 FAST - E-91 4th Engine
1048 - Bn. 16 - Fire in the basement, stretching a line at this time.
1050 - Bn. 16 - All Hands - We have water on the fire.
1056 - Div. 6 - 2 L/S, 1 L/O, fire is darkening down, trucks opening up and checking for extension. DWH
1103 - Div. 6 - Have Squad 61 report to the command post on West 140. We need them to conduct searches.
1106 - Div. 6 - We are requesting a Large Venting Unit (TL-17). We have large open areas that we are having trouble venting.
1111 - Div. 6 - Requesting the 2nd Alarm.
1115 - MD - Due to the height of the building, we are transmitting the 10-76 assignment.
1131 - Div. 6 - We would like to cancel the 10-76 and return Division 3 and Rescue 1.
1136 - Div. 6 - We have had an emergency alert and put the FAST Truck to work (TL-22 new FAST).
1140 - Div. 6 - The member who gave the Mayday has been found and is OK. Due to maze like conditions, and heavy smoke condition, searches will be delayed. DWH - Duration 1 hour 1 minute.
1143 - Div. 6 - Primaries are complete and negative on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. Primaries are delayed in the basement.
1157 - FC per Car 10 - We have 5 fans in operation, smoke is lifting and CO levels are dropping. Secondary searches are in progress.
1159 - FC - Per Car 10, transmit the 3rd Alarm. (Staging @ 143 St. & Amsterdam)
1224 - FC - All occupants self evacuated prior to FD arrival. The reason for the 3rd Alarm was for additional manpower to search the basement and sub-cellars. Searches are still in progress. 2 additional fans are being set up. DWH
1241 - FC - Primaries and secondaries are complete and negative in exposures 2 & 4. Primaries are negative in all basement areas. Transmit a 10-41 code 1 due to a large volume of fire on arrival with no apparent cause. PWH - Duration 2 hours 2 minutes.
1247 - FC - Under Control - Duration 2 hours 9 minutes.
