On Saturday, July 23, FDNY Marine Units received a call for a party boat that had run aground on a sand bar in Mill Creek, on Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn. FDNY Marine 3, Marine 8, and the Marine Battalion arrived on scene and found the vessel in very shallow water and tilted to one side. FDNY Marine Units removed 20 passengers from the vessel and transported them safely shore. There were no injuries reported to any civilians.
